Funky Green Dogs - Super California
Funky Green Dogs are: Oscar Gueten, Ralph Fulcon and Tamara Wallace. Their new CD Super California is blazin’ so amazin’. Tamara’s gospel-style vocals drenched over Funky Green Dogs’ house groove has an old-school flavor with a new-school taste. On the track "Free" Tamara is pure dance diva, delivering more soul on the track than Angie Stone and Mary J. Blige can mussy up on a whole album. She asks, "Are you ready for a new sensation?" I think it’s time for a revolution, though not entirely a new sensation. This is Funky Green Dogs’ third album. They have paid their dues and the other two albums were mere practice for this house-based CD. Every song is packed with energy and life. Check out the tribal house track "Rising Up", a club anthem in the making. And the glossy, smooth "Better Be There" will turn the party out! Once in awhile a group comes along and makes music that really paves the way for other groups in their arena, as well as enhancing our standards as listeners. That group is Funky Green Dogs – their music is Future Funk. Keeping no prisoners, FGD’s Super California will go on to be one of those classic, great house collections. We should be so lucky to have them continue to make great dance music, but for now let’s enjoy Super California cuz right now the Funky Green Dogs have got us burning up and we can’t stop. Next up is Way Out West
with Intensify...
