Amber turned the house out at Circuit, giving the boys just what they wanted, a set of dance floor hits from 1984’s "Tonight" to her 1999 smash hit "Sexual (Li Da Di". Amber sang over backing tracks to a packed house of club kids. One thing’s for sure – she knows where her bread is buttered, and she delivered – the crowd was jumping.

Her new CD is titled Naked (didn’t Taylor Dane do that two years ago? Hmm…) Well, at the first listen I thought the CD was weak, but after a few more listens I found some redeeming qualities. These are the usual Amber dance, radio-friendly cuts, but what is lacking is the cutting edge of second CD. I felt as though Amber was chasing the trends instead of setting them, which is what we had come to expect from the gay community’s new dance diva.

There are few tracks that reminded me that Amber still knows what it takes to make a great dance song. The first single "Naked" is a catchy, sexy, cool dance number that gets you moving. And the track "Dirty Thoughts" – a trance dance track that achieved irresistibility. The cut "Sex Without Sex" has a tear-the-dance-floor-up thumpin’ flavor, that is dripping with provocation. Amber shows signs of sonic innovation on the hot, steamy track "He". This blonde bombshell even revamped her hit "Sexual (Li Da Di)" with a creative remix called the chill-out mix – it’s sexual and smooth.

Though, five good songs do not make a prevalent dance album. She should have followed the vibe of those songs for the entire CD and cut out the contrived lyrics and fluffy melodies. And drop the come-ons. Madonna did that in 1992 with Erotica.

If you are a die-hard Amber fan like me, you will find a few tracks that you really like. If you are a virgin to this dance diva you probably don’t want to lose your virginity to Naked. Check out her last album or hit remix album for the true sensual talent of this Canadian beauty.
