Gloria Gaynor - I Wish You Love

Okay, boys…don’t be mad, but I met Ms. Gloria Gaynor in person. I sipped champagne, ate hors d’oevures and chatted with the original dance diva. I was invited to her lush record release party at the Peninsula Hotel. Much to my surprise, she is a sweet woman. It was apparent why you still hear her name in the business. She’s just a down-home sister. After several pictures and a few conversations I was calling her Ms. G.G. Gloria was in town to promote the new CD and perform live at the surburban club Mission.

Ms. Gaynor is back and she is giving it to ya!!! She is giving you dance, R&B, pop, hip-hop and a little of her signature disco flavor. GG’s I Wish You Love is a refreshing, electrifying vibe from the stale music that dominates the airwaves. It’s energy, it’s inspirational, it’s all Gloria.

My first reaction was, what is Gloria Gaynor trying to do? But I took her to the gym, popped her in my Walkman and had the best workout ever. This disco house-influenced set is just what I needed – I found myself dancing around the gym. I was captured by the G.G. fever…and I couldn’t get enough.

The timeless classic "I Will Survive" made Gloria an international name and gave the pop culture a devoted anthem. "I Will Survive" has been re-recorded 213 times since Gloria’s original 1979 release. That alone is enough to title G.G. the original dance diva.

Gloria returns to the mainstream with a CD packed with radio-friendly tunes and club-ready anthems. This CD is a must-have to complete your dance library, right along with Madonna’s Ray of Light and Cher’s Believe. Gloria’s breakthrough I Wish You Love will get the party started right. Check out the thumping "Gotta Be Forever". Gloria belts out, ‘I know you’re wondering where I’ve been, sweet songs of love got me coming in. I wanted to leave and walk away, but this is real and I’m here to stay.’

Gloria is back and here to stay. Don’t miss this comeback CD. Other fierce moment on this CD are the disco-house track "Gone Too Long", and the sizzling up-tempo "All the Man" – that one is sure to make you dance. And the title track "I Wish You Love" is a smooth hip-hop groove, with Gloria’s sweet vocals dripping all over it – you will love it!

Gloria has captured the sounds of today – here filtered vocals, thumping beats and catchy melodies will sure cross-over and appeal to a younger audience. If the cut "Stronger" doesn’t do it, the Hex Hector remix of "I Never Knew" will.

G.G.’s I Wish You Love is just what we need for a holiday party – there’s still more dancing to do before winter comes – and this highly anticipated CD is just the ticket. "You Will Survive" the Daylight Savings Time change if you run out and pick up a copy of I Wish You Love.
