Amanda Ghost -  Ghost Stories

Everyone’s raving about this hot, new sensation. "Ghost Stories is one of the best albums I’ve heard in a long time", says Elton John. Paper Magazine calls Amanda Ghost, "a musical maestro to listen for." Boy George raves, "Her music is a stadium rock for agoraphobics – it’s gloriously uplifting, but you can stay home with it." Liam Howlett of Prodigy adds, "Amanda Ghost delivers a classic, powerful sounding vocal that blows you away."

You have probably already gotten a taste of this North London born-and-raised cinematic storyteller with an Indian and Spanish heritage. Her first single, "Idol", has pulsed into mainstream. It finds Amanda pleading to find herself someone to look up to. This pop rock anthem has all the elements for a hit – catchy hook, roaring guitars and a beat that draws you into her painted picture of self-healing. But it’s in tracks like "Silver Lining" and "Glory Girl" that you see the captivating talent of this emotional artist. "Glory Girl" is an up-tempo, Natalie Imbruglia-like track, polished with pure strings, folk guitars, and lyrics that you can relate to. You will be mesmerized, wondering where Amanda has been all your life. "Silver Lining" showcases Amanda’s vocal talent and musical versatility. The piano-driven ballad is beautiful and electrifying. Listen as she takes you on an emotional journey.

Amanda has an ambitious sound that is powerful and intoxicating, with a mixture of folk, dance, rock and electronica. It is evident that her influences range from Janis Joplin, the Doors, Prince and Depeche Mode. Like these artists, her intensity and depth are present on each track. On the dance-frenzied track "Filthy Mind" (which was featured during a steamy sex scene on the Showtime hit series "Queer As Folk") Amanda’s filtered, distorted voice compliments the thumping dance groove as she declares, "I’m drowning, so come inside and welcome to my filthy mind." The track is HOT!

Amanda Ghost has everything it takes to be a pop star. "Ghost Stories" is a stunning masterpiece; I couldn’t stop listening to it. These ten original tracks are worth every penny. Also available is a CD single of the song "Idol" with six dance-floor fury remixes that will give you a whole new perspective of her crossover range. Amanda will be the next phenomenon, so don’t miss out.
